Article from Steve Harvey – “This Book Changed My Life”

Dear Essentialists, I just saw this blog post from Steve Harvey. I don’t know him personally, but I thought this was an interesting shout out! Very best, Greg
Steve Harvey was introduced to the book “Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less” by the director from the NBC television program “Little Big Shots” and said, “Mr. Harvey…you’re absolutely the busiest person I’ve ever met in my life, and I’m concerned about you. I want you to read a book called Essentialism. After reading the book Steve Harvey said…”This book…helped changed the whole way I think.” Here’s the post from IAmSteveHarvey.com:
The director from Little Big Shots sat me down with his British accent and said, “Mr. Harvey I’d like to tell you something… you’re absolutely the busiest person I’ve ever met in my life and I’m concerned about you. I want you to read a book called Essentialism. You know what? This book along with my anniversary trip helped changed the whole way I think. The basics of essentialism is this: Everybody must do the things that are essential to your life to make you happy or successful. You must eliminate everything that doesn’t make you happy or don’t lead to your success. Be sure to listen to Greg McKeown on the EntreLeadership podcast.

When I heard Steve Harvey make the comment about the book, Essentialism, I borrowed the book from my library. I now have told friends that I suggest everyone I know to read the book. Great ideas/info. Lately I have been thinking of releasing/letting go… This is of stuff, what I said/did and now regret, get closure to release and other… anyway this book gives ideas to let me do just that!!! I will probably read it again at least one more time or more. Thank you Greg for writing it!
